Last thursday my assistant and I went „Gala Magazine“ hunting. We started in Berlin and I proceeded in Kassel and Würzburg. My assistant also got some issues in Frankfurt.

We had produced a few weeks ago 20 covers for their 20 years anniversary and an Editorial with 20 german stars in Berlin and it was so special to finally hold the issues in my hands.

This production was like a dream coming true: to work with all your personal german stars like Iris Berben, Heike Makatsch, Till Schweiger… at once was nearly too good to be true.

Even though I am living overseas by now for many years (Milan/Melbourne/Sydney/NYC), In my heart I am and will always stay the „crazy german“ (This is a nickname I got from my australian collegues). This is maybe why I am so proud to work with all those german stars.

This shoot works so well with the „Berlin Special“ as those 20 artists also stand with their potential for me for the creative german capital: Berlin.
