Cuts: more than just hair is a documentary shot over 18 years about the hairdressers of Cuts in Soho, London. Nowness featured it and I had to share it as I find it so inspiring to watch especially being a hairdresser myself.
To work in a salon or as a session stylist… I think a lot of hairdressers are regularly asking themselves the same question: Should I keep working in a salon or should I go freelance and build a carer as a hairstylist…
Having a salon up and running is up to my opinion as difficult as having a carer as a session stylist. Neither nor will work unless you do it with passion.
No doubt that the boys who founded Cuts had the passion required as the salon still exists successfully.
